Senior Associate / Architect

Emilie Rottman joined Square 134 Architects in November 2015. Her design experience consists of single-family and multi-family residential, K-12 education, mixed-use and urban design projects.  Ms. Rottman has had the opportunity to work at many notable firms throughout her career, including Elkus|Manfredi Architects, Marmol Radziner, Torti Gallas + Partners and Perkins Eastman.  She enjoys working on projects that focus on adaptive reuse, redevelopment and neighborhood revitalization.  Emilie has had the opportunity to explore these interests working on a number of academic competitions, including the ULI Hines Competition and the NAIOP Capital Challenge, in addition to completing her architectural thesis “The Michigan Central Station: Re-Discovering Identity Among Ruins.”  The project examined repurposing the historic train station to help revitalize the City of Detroit.  Ms. Rottman holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, as well as a Master of Architecture, Master of Real Estate Development and a Certificate in Urban Design from the University of Maryland.  Emilie is a registered architect in Washington, D.C.  She is very active with her city and enjoys being involved with a number of young professional organizations.
