Architectural Designer
Michael joined Square 134 Architects in December 2021. He has worked in the Washington D.C. metro area for 2 years with experience varying from multi-family to commercial to historic preservation and addition projects. Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Multimedia arts which express themselves in his passions for sustainable, nature-inspired architecture with a preference for well-designed spaces. He received his Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2019 with his thesis focusing on the adaptive reuse of petroleum-era infrastructure repurposed for sustainable science education. He received an AIA Design Award Citation from AIA Maryland for a sustainable field research station project during his third year in graduate school. Michael is excited for the emergence of new technologies and the potential for more environmentally and society friendly development.
